I had a revision rhinoplasty on a 20-year-old nose. For everyone else it turned out pretty, but for me the silicone was inserted crooked from the starting point, and the end was also bent, so I can clearly see that it’s S-shaped, though other people can’t. So when I told them the next day that the silicone was shifted, the director said no, it was centered. Looking at the distance from the inner corner of the eye, it was shifted to the left. Before surgery they also didn’t draw the design marking the center of the glabella. The internal support of the nose used costal cartilage and septal cartilage together, but it was too thick and maybe shifted to the right, because from after surgery I’ve had trouble breathing through my right nostril. They also made the nose much higher than I expected. That said, other people don’t really know I had surgery and say the side profile is pretty and that it looks natural. At one month after surgery, pimples kept appearing on the tip of my nose and I could feel something hard. At some point it broke through, so I pulled it out, and it turned out to be a tiny 1 mm V-shaped fragment of cartilage. It’s been over a year since the revision, and now I don’t really care about the shape anymore, but every so often the part with the silicone itches, so I’m planning to remove everything.
