I had the surgery done with a buried suture technique 5 years ago.. it felt like a factory-style place, so they didn't seem able to pay attention to each patient. Even the buried sutures have now come undone, and I'm waiting for revision surgery. I need to think it over. Plastic surgery is something that stays with you for life, so I keep thinking and thinking. To begin with, personally I wasn't happy with it. At the time it was a big hospital, so the system was well organized and the doctor's career was impressive, so I trusted them and went ahead, but in the end it just didn't suit me well. Even though it was buried sutures, the swelling did not go down as much as I expected, so I struggled a lot, and the line itself had a noticeably artificial feeling rather than the natural look I wanted. Now, 5 years later, one side of the line is almost completely undone, so my eyes look dull and the symmetry is off. Especially as a man, I had emphasized that I wanted a subtle inner-double-eyelid look so it wouldn't be obvious, but when I close my eyes, a little scar tissue like knot marks is visible, which bothers me. The staff were kind during consultation, but when checking the postoperative progress, it felt like the factory-style atmosphere typical of a large hospital, and I didn't feel like I was being cared for very carefully. I think I'll need to look into revision surgery soon, and I regret not deciding more carefully back then.
