Patient review of Obeulli (오블리) · 2026-05-20

I’m 2 weeks out from my first surgery: ear cartilage & septal cartilage for the tip, plus nasal bridge osteotomy. I found and chose this hospital after just browsing around and booking consultations at 3 hospitals. I had an open approach, and the surgical details were as above. At first, I was only thinking about a closed approach + ear cartilage for the tip. I had never even thought about nose surgery, but I happened to hear about something called Kozelko, and I was thinking of trying that, and that is how I ended up here...lol I did not want to get cosmetic surgery I did not really need just to end up with a clearly operated-on look and scars. But after looking into it a bit, I heard open surgery might be better, so I added a clinic that only does open surgery and went there too. My first impression was not great. Even just looking at the detailed rules for the deposit, I felt this place was not ordinary. But when I actually went, the coordinator was friendly, and the doctor was kind. The coordinator does not have that typical plastic-surgery coordinator vibe you see on YouTube. The doctor... has a slightly AI-like kind of kindness. I saw some bad reviews about the doctor’s friendliness, and I can see why some people might feel that way, but 99% of people will probably be satisfied. 1. Price: It is expensive. It was in the low 5 millions KRW range (the quote was similar even with custom silicone)... I’m pretty sure there are hospitals in Korea that offer the same surgery for the high 3 millions KRW... The difference between the high 3 millions and low 5 millions is 1.5 million KRW.. I figured that was cheaper than the trustworthiness of that hospital plus the time and stress of searching for it, so I just decided on this place. 2. Surgery The surgery was hell. They woke me up in the middle because I was moving too much.. I had about 40 minutes of surgery while awake, and I could clearly feel everything: the nose being opened, the ear cartilage being cut and placed onto the nose, all of it... with no pain... The reason I was moving was that my neck was so uncomfortable. I have severe forward head posture, so I cannot sleep without a pillow, but of course there was no pillow on the operating table... Because I kept fidgeting so much, the doctor asked if I had been having a nice dream..... No way... Anyway, it was one of the few truly terrifying experiences in my life. I wondered if being a human test subject would feel like this. My eyes were covered, and my hands and feet were restrained...lol... 3. Results Anyway, I’m sure everyone is curious about this: at 2 weeks, I’m satisfied with the side view, and I’m not sure yet about the front view. On the day the splint came off, my nose looked incredibly huge and unfamiliar, but the volume is gradually going down. The side view is exactly what I wanted now, but I do not know whether the tip will drop any further. From the first day after surgery, it never had the feeling of "the tip is lifted" or "piggy-nose." It has stayed the same since the first day after surgery. (Only the tip height; the volume has gone way down.) The real reason I wrote this review is the scar. Their closure was so good that even after only 2 weeks, all that is left is a very, very faint red line. It is so invisible that I would not care even if the scar never improved any further. The doctor said there would be a scar, but there is not? lol Maybe my skin type helped too, but I think the doctor is just the type to speak very conservatively. 4. Final verdict In conclusion, I recommend it. Because the result is good, the pain and hardship of the surgery get romanticized. Of course, I could not do revision surgery again. The surgery itself was so hard... If I had used silicone, I might have ended up back on the operating table even if I did not want revision because of contracture... Thinking about that makes me feel like choosing no implant was a really good decision. That said, if you have a very clear idea of the nose shape you want, I would not recommend doing no-implant surgery here. With no implant, no matter what you do, you end up with the surgeon’s style anyway. But this place is among the best in the Gangnam area in terms of aesthetics, so... you might complain that "it is not the style I wanted," but I do not think you would say "it was a disaster." If you know exactly what shape you want, then you could just go with a custom implant, right? I do not know because I did not do that. Oh, and honestly, I thought the osteotomy might have been unnecessary (it was the doctor’s opinion, and I thought it might not be needed), but in the end it does seem better with it. Compared to other reviews, osteotomy seems to add about 1 million KRW, and if the doctor recommends it, I would just do it. It has only been 2 weeks, so I need to watch a little longer, but for now the tip drooping will have to be monitored over time. In any case, I originally had a drooping tip, which is why I had the surgery, so if it droops after surgery, it should not be worse than before, I guess
