A place that was on my original final list for the first rhinoplasty. I should have just done the first surgery here... I’ve become that kind of person who keeps saying it over and over.. For noses, you really need to go to a place where the shape you want matches the director’s aesthetics and the review photos, or you’ll end up unhappy with the shape. Since I had my first surgery without an implant, I had no functional side effects, and I decided on revision because I was unhappy with the tip shape. This place was also one of the true final-list candidates for the revision. The consultation fee for revision was around 50,000 won. Even the consultation reservations were backed up a lot, so I had to wait more than two months. After the CT scan, I first consulted with the coordinator while the director was analyzing my CT. Once the coordinator consultation was over, I went into the director’s office. It definitely seems that the more famous a clinic is for implant-free surgery, the more conservative their opinion is. They said they would reuse the septal cartilage and ear cartilage used in my first surgery, shorten the nose a bit more, slightly overcorrect the nasolabial angle, release the pinched tip, and use postauricular fascia so the front view would look fuller. But even while explaining all that, they were very blunt that there would not be any major change from what I wanted. Honestly, that honesty made me feel more reassured (maybe because I’m such a skeptical person, I don’t know). I had osteotomy in the first surgery, and while looking at the osteotomy line on the CT, they explained in a very specific, step-by-step way why they thought the surgery had been done that way. After the director consultation, I spoke with the coordinator about the price, and compared with what I had expected, it was way too expensive... (No major change, reuse of existing materials + added autologous dermis + mainly tip correction, yet the price felt absurdly steep) The coordinator did not pressure me to book, and was very kind. No matter whether I get a revision or not, I keep thinking that if I had done the first surgery here instead, that regret would keep looping in my head..큐
