It's been about a month since I had double-incision double eyelid surgery, upper canthoplasty, and lateral/lower canthoplasty. I hadn't really been thinking of cosmetic surgery, but after seeing my friends get prettier after either double eyelids or double eyelids plus canthoplasty, I started wanting it too. I didn't look up clinics separately and only went to consult at the hospitals my friends had surgery at. I felt like they explained things from the perspective of really understanding my eyes, so I had the surgery there. When I said I wanted a semi-out look, they told me that with my current eyes alone, if I did double eyelid surgery, the front line could unfold because of the Mongolian fold. They explained that if I did upper canthoplasty, the line would not unfold and the semi-out look would also stay fixed over time. When I checked photos of surgery cases with eyes similar to mine, the difference between the two was surprisingly large and the line looked more distinct. They also recommended lateral/lower canthoplasty, and I was interested too, and the shape was pretty, so I did the three procedures as explained: double eyelids plus full canthoplasty. The line came out just as I had imagined, beautifully with no side effects, and since both the front and back were opened, my eyes look much bigger. It's only been a month, so there's still some swelling left, but when I went back for a follow-up, they said it was settling in well, so I'm going to wait a bit longer.
