I had a revision of eye-opening correction with incision and upper canthoplasty. Unlike other people, I did not research it very thoroughly; about a year ago my younger sibling had a good revision of eye-opening correction here, so I went for a consultation and got surgery right away. I had previously had buried sutures and they came undone, so I went thinking I would need incision surgery, and the hospital also said incision was necessary. It used to be an in-line, but when I said I wanted to change it to a semi-out this time, they said then I would need upper canthoplasty to get the double-eyelid line I wanted, so I had it done together during the revision. I have strong Mongolian folds, and they said they had seen many revision cases where non-incision surgery without removing them ended up loosening again. Honestly, even right up until just before surgery I wondered if I was getting ripped off, but after it was done my inner corners looked more open and the semi-out line showed clearly, so I felt that doing it was the right choice. They do not seem to push unnecessary procedures. Come to think of it, it was only two procedures anyway.
