One of my double eyelids had loosened, so I went looking to get just one side buried with a single stitch, but they said I needed 6 stitches, and even said I should just have both eyes operated on. The reason was that 10 years later, as I age, the eyelids would droop again from aging, so they said it could become uneven. It might be because my skin is thin. Anyway, changing from one stitch to 6 stitches was okay, but... during the consultation, they seemed to be in a bad mood.
