Other people say the doctor is unfriendly or cynical, but for me, on the surgical side I had already read the doctor’s blog and done a lot of legwork, so I went in with a fairly large amount of knowledge and asked a lot of questions. I also consulted at this hospital several times, and they answered all my questions sincerely and at length. Personally, after putting together the many reviews and the feeling I had from going in for consultation several times, I think the best way to get the answer you want is to research as much as possible and ask as many questions as you can. They did not especially recommend overly extensive surgery.
