I recently had surgery at this hospital, and there are a few things I need to point out, so I'm leaving a new review. 1. Problem with the manager: the tall manager with prominent cheekbones has a really bad personality. She may think she's trying to be kind, but she does not fit service work at all. This was the first hospital I've seen where they tell you to wash your face before surgery but do not even give you a headband, and the staff chat with each other at the desk. And while chatting, they even got annoyed openly. I don't think she has the basics of a consultation manager. The little comments she throws out to try to manage the patient's mood actually make you feel worse. If communication is a problem and service work does not suit you, please find another job. Also, speaking as someone who runs my own business and works in sales, you should not negotiate prices like that. 2. Hygiene problem: people who know this will know that plastic surgery clinics usually have a separate wash basin. They do not make you wash your face in a bathroom like a hair salon. This hospital makes you wash your face in the bathroom where other people are urinating. There was even no soap in the hand-wash dispenser. lol I saw that and thought maybe I should just leave without getting surgery. 3. Problem with the director's consultation: at well-known plastic surgery clinics, the director usually has a computer in the consultation room and shows reference photos or does a CT scan for a professional consultation. This hospital has none of that, just one lonely mirror. The director's consultation was not very kind either. He only gave vague explanations like 'this and this will make it like this,' and when I asked in detail, he got a little annoyed. He seemed incredibly confident in his own surgical method. This may be either a strength or a weakness depending on the patient's characteristics. Of course, CT scans or 3D surgery examples are not something you should trust blindly, but it was not a consultation worth 10,000 won for professionalism either. And after deciding on surgery and paying, when you meet the director once... hmm... his personality was a bit different before and after payment. haha.. Overall: the three points above are the most noticeable drawbacks I listed. The choice of surgery is your own 'responsibility'. Even with those issues, why did I choose this hospital? Because I heard many people say they are almost top-tier at men's noses, and I had seen many successful cases around me too. They had only made a straight but slightly upturned nose up to a third revision, and I needed alar base lowering, so I looked for a doctor good at straight lines and at alar base lowering, with good results. So I chose this hospital, and my thinking was that if the result is good, those three issues don't matter. (I only found out about the hygiene issue on the day of surgery, so I was startled;;) The result is... I like it. I got a straight nose, and if the swelling fully goes down and there is no inflammation, it is pretty enough to be final. Mi-jak Clinic has very little material on its website, and even what they do have is from years ago, so everyone will hesitate to choose it. As for whether they are good or bad at surgery, let me say this: it is not easy for a non-specialist to run a plastic surgery clinic in Gangnam for over 10 years just with the title of being the brother of a not-very-famous celebrity. This field is one where you need word of mouth and skill to survive. Around my father too, there are many acquaintances who opened plastic surgery clinics in Gangnam and then ran off to the provinces to focus on petty procedures. Skill can be proven through experience, so you do not need to worry too much about whether someone is a specialist or not. For my nose, the number one place was just an obscure local clinic; the second and third revisions were ruined by specialists. This is good for people who want a straight nose done with costal cartilage and have an upturned nose. People who care more about the result than small things like hygiene, manager attitude, or director attitude will be satisfied. I am also very satisfied with the result. One more thing: Mi-jak Clinic has a good point, which is unlimited aftercare if you only pay the material cost and anesthesia cost. Also, for those who are tired of a slightly upturned nose, Mi-jak does straight lines very well. I admit they are top-tier for men's noses. And there are no brokers. Honestly, there are too many people who look like brokers, and the Gangnam app is basically a broker mecca, but I almost never saw brokers at Mi-jak. I hope you make a good decision and get good results.
