I went for a consultation to get cleft lip surgery. They showed me before-and-after photos, but from my own eyes I couldn’t really tell much of a difference. It just looked cleaner, and the doctor also emphasized being clean and neat rather than making big changes. During the consultation, they told me, “Honestly, it’s not a pretty face” and “It’s a face that needs cosmetic surgery.”
