This was the first clinic I went to for nose surgery. I live in the provinces, so I set aside a day and went to Seoul for a consultation. Originally, I wanted to consult with the most famous Dr. Kim Jun, but he was on leave that day, so I consulted with Dr. Kang. According to the clinic staff, Dr. Kang mainly handles primary surgeries, and Dr. Kim Jun mainly handles revision surgeries. Even though I had done a ton of research on YouTube and other places, the consultation still felt different once I actually went in. Dr. Kang calmly reviewed my nose CT and photos with me during the consultation, and he was really kind and great. He even did a virtual simulation himself and told me that because I already have a nasal bridge, he would not recommend silicone, and that if donor fascia and ear cartilage are used, it would probably come out like this, which I appreciated. However, when I talked again with the consultation manager about the cost, they spoke way, way too fast and barely listened to what I had to say, only saying what they wanted to say. That part was a little disappointing for me! And when the doctor did the virtual simulation, I didn’t really like the shape of the nose So after the consultation, I felt strongly that I didn’t want to have surgery here.
