Six years ago, only my left eye developed ptosis, so I had surgery, but it came undone after two years. I held out and then went for a consultation. Since my eye-opening strength didn't seem to be a problem from the outside, they said I didn't need ptosis surgery. But the strength of opening my eyes feels heavy only on the left. The line on the left is thicker, and it's a double fold, so they said I could have surgery on both sides to match the left eye, or match only the left eye to the right eye surgery.
