After getting a CT and looking at my nose shape, they said I had a severe hump, the middle of my nose was sunken, and the tip was drooping, so they would correct the bulbous nose the same way and raise the tip. They said my septum was quite small, so it would be hard to raise the tip using only the septum, and they would use both the septum and ear cartilage together. They said they would shave down the hump a little, and also do osteotomy of the nasal bridge and bulbous nose correction. But it was surprising because they said the same thing as the first hospital I went to, that they would have to use the septum to raise the bridge. So I remembered what the first hospital said, that if the septum were used, a saddle nose side effect could happen later, so I asked about septum side effects, and they were confident there would be none. But at the first hospital, they said they could make the nose without using the septum and without shaving down the hump, whereas here they said they would have to shave the hump and use the septum, so I felt it was different. They also said after surgery, aftercare would be available for one year and they would provide laser-based post-op care.
