4-Month Orthodontic Treatment Review

Maybe because university hospitals see many severe cases, my front teeth were only very slightly crooked, so they didn’t recommend orthodontic treatment. They were actually strongly against it, asking why I would do it when it costs a lot and it wasn’t even a case that needed braces.. Still, I wondered what it would be like if my mouth protruded a little less, so I’ve been getting orthodontic treatment at a regular orthodontic clinic for 4 months now. I wondered if there had been any change, so I asked to see the photos they had taken at the dental clinic before, and when I looked, the crooked front teeth had been corrected a lot! Not perfectly, though haha And they said it would be non-extraction, take a total of 1 year and 6 months, and move in by 2 mm, but somehow I already feel like my nasolabial folds and philtrum have gotten longer.. It also feels like the braces make my mouth look slightly protruded ㅠㅠ Is this temporary and will it go back later..? I’m a little anxious ㅠ But I think I would have kept feeling regret if I hadn’t gotten orthodontic treatment, so no regrets
