Time really flies. Before surgery, my protruding lower jaw stressed me out so much that I honestly didn’t want to live, but after getting surgery I’m so happy lol. The hospital told me double-jaw surgery was the only option, so I thought it over and had the surgery. I had it done at an oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic, and since it was a surgery-first, orthodontics-after case, I think I had the surgery first and then did orthodontic treatment for about another year?!! I don’t really have any side effects, just that some areas like the roof of my mouth have slightly reduced sensation. People don’t even know I had surgery.
