Before/after This is my 3-month review after posterior lower canthoplasty. My eyes turned upward a lot and the outer corners looked stuffy, so I was always stressed because I kept trying to cover it with makeup and open my eyes in a way that made me look gentler. This time, I made up my mind and decided to have surgery!! I also researched a lot before the surgery, and during the consultation both the consultant and the director seemed confident about posterior lower canthoplasty, so I decided to have the surgery after the same-day consultation.
By around the 3-month mark, it looked natural even with a bare face, and doing makeup became easier. The best thing after surgery is that my eyes seem more open than before, so I do not have to wear heavy makeup, which has made things so much more convenient. Even with quick makeup, they do not look like my old small, closed-looking eyes. It looks a little different in photos compared with in person. In real life, there is no obvious difference from before surgery, so no one would know unless I told them, but in photos my eyes look more opened than in pre-op photos, so that stands out. Also, the heights of the outer corners of both eyes look different, but it also feels like it is gradually getting better, so I think I need to watch it a bit more. When I had surgery, I wanted gentle eyes with the outer corners lowered. At 1 month, my eyes looked gentle and it was just right, but as the swelling gradually went down and things settled, people around me said the lower line looked higher than back thenㅠㅠ I wish the slightly droopy-eye look had stayed, but I am going to watch the progress more and get a consultation!!
