17 years ago, I got rhinoplasty simply because I wanted to. It was done with Gore-Tex, and at the time I liked it well enough, but since it was still an implant, as time went by I felt a lot of discomfort. Because the Gore-Tex kept getting tangled and adhered to my tissues, I wondered if it was affecting circulation, and it felt like my rhinitis was getting worse too. The functional aspect was an issue, but I also disliked that distinctive pinched, operated-looking nasal tip, and I kept thinking more and more that I wanted to improve it. Since I no longer plan to have another rhinoplasty, I had surgery with no artificial implant, using autologous costal cartilage for everything, and I am extremely! satisfied! with the result. The swelling went down faster than I expected, and there is no columella scar either (amazing). What is especially good is that when I had silicone, my nose was constantly uncomfortable, but even though it has only been one month since surgery, my nose feels so much more comfortable. Even though I did not have separate rhinitis surgery, my nose has become so comfortable that I am happy. They also made my nasal tip and nostrils look pretty, so it became completely natural. My nasal line is so beautiful too. I truly think meeting someone like Dr. Kim Hyun-joo is a great blessing in my life. I have never met someone who is this good at surgery, kind, and nice! There are many doctors who are good at surgery but blunt, but I really feel like I had my rhinoplasty and follow-ups with peace of mind. Thank you so much, Dr. Kim Hyun-joo. You are the best!!
