I had a typical Western-looking? nasal bridge where the hump started right from the beginning of the bridge, so I’d wanted rhinoplasty for a long time, but I was scared of implant side effects, so I kept only thinking about it and putting it off But this time I got rhinoplasty without an implant and finally saw the light!!! I’d also had rhinitis from before, maybe because of the hump or who knows, so I went to the JㅇJ ENT clinic just to get it checked, and they said since my nasal bridge already had some height, at this level I could get enough height just by shaving down the hump without an implant. They also said that if I did functional cosmetic rhinoplasty, I could get reimbursement for the functional nose part haha I was tempted, so I booked the surgery date right away and got functional cosmetic rhinoplasty. Even without an implant, I got the nasal bridge I wanted, so I’m totally satisfied The hump was fixed by simple refinement rather than osteotomy, so I regret not doing it earlier if I’d known it would be like this. When I got examined, I had a deviated septum, and that part improved a lot too. Since I told my mom I did the surgery while getting rhinitis surgery, she didn’t say much either, and people around me say my side profile has gotten sooo pretty, so I feel proud for no reason lol Everyone here with a really severe hump like mine should look into the no-implant option too. Having a big hump was a lifelong complex, but I ended up benefiting from it like this too^^
