Leaving a review 4 months after eye surgery :) I didn’t originally have eyes with no double eyelids at all; I actually had fairly defined lines to begin with. But the problem was that both eyes were very uneven…ㅠㅠㅠ One side had a decent line, but the other side had a different thickness, and on some days it looked like the line had come undone, so I found myself subtly worrying about it every time I took photos. So putting on double eyelid tape every time I went out had basically become a habit.
After only worrying about it for a long time, I finally made up my mind this time and had natural adhesion double eyelid surgery, three types of canthoplasty, and lower eyelid fat repositioning done together. Honestly, before surgery I was a little worried about what if it looked too obvious, but looking back now, I’m so satisfied that I feel like I worried for nothing.
I’m now 4 months post-op, and the best thing is that I don’t have to use double eyelid tape anymore…🥹 Before, putting on tape every morning to match the lines was subtly bothersome and stressful. Now, even after just washing my face, the lines are naturally set, so it’s so convenient. Getting ready in the morning has become much simpler too.
Also, maybe because the swelling has gone down a lot over time, it looks very natural now. People around me sometimes say things like, “Did you get prettier somehow?” but there are also quite a few people who don’t realize I had surgeryㅎㅎ I like it even more because it seems to have settled that naturally.
Personally, I also think it was a good decision to have the under-eye surgery done together. My under-eye area was originally a bit hollow, so my dark circles looked darker, and I would sometimes hear that I looked tired🥲 But after surgery, my under-eye area looks much less hollow than before, and my overall impression seems a little brighter than before.
Before, even if I covered it with concealer, I kept worrying about my under-eye area, but now makeup is much easier, and I’m much less stressed about my under-eyes when taking photos!
Overall, my eye lines look naturally refined and my under-eye area looks better than before, so personally I think it was a surgery with high satisfaction for me. Since I’m only 4 months post-op, I think it will settle even more naturally, so I’m quietly looking forward to that too :)
If you’ve been worried about uneven double eyelids like I was, I think it would be fine to at least get a consultation. After surgery, daily life has become much more convenient for me, and I feel more at ease than before whenever I look in the mirror, so I’ve been living with satisfactionㅎㅎ
