Eye Surgery Reviews

My eyes finally look human

Hospital: plastic surgery clinicProcedure: revision medial epicanthoplastyPost-op period: 8 monthsCost: 2.5 million KRWMedial epicanthoplasty -> medial epicanthoplasty restoration -> medial epicanthoplasty (revision)Honestly, even my original eyes had the inner corners covered by skin, so they looked stuffy. I always wore makeup to make it look like I had medial epicanthoplasty with eyeliner, and after taking selfies, using Meitu was a must.So I got double eyelid surgery + medial and upper canthoplasty, but this time I got hook-shaped scars. Fuck, seriously, people who know will know, but scarring is a bigger problem than looking stuffy. Scars don’t get covered with makeup, and they actually stand out more.I got restoration, but this time they made my eyes look ridiculously dull and spaced-out, making me look worse than before my first surgery. Anyway, I couldn’t end things like that, so I looked into surgery again.Of course, since it wasn’t an ordinary canthoplasty revision, it was much more expensive, but when I look in the mirror now, I don’t regret it even though it was expensive.During the consultation, they said that if I had the surgery, my line could become a semi-out or out-line. How should I put it, maybe a low out-line? As the inner corner of my eyes changed, the starting point of the eyelid line did change. Still, the consultant told me everything, so the result was within the range I expected, and since I had also considered a semi-out to out-line, I actually liked it. I like my eyes better now, so I’m fine with it, but people who are sensitive about this kind of thing should think carefully.Since it involved opening the inner corner of the eyes, restoring it, and then opening it again, the recovery process was hard. I didn’t like the shape either, and the swelling, bruising, and scars were all still there even after a month. I sent KakaoTalk messages to the clinic, talked to the consultant on the phone, and contacted them a lot in various ways, but in the end, it just healed well with time. Now there’s no scarring, I’ve escaped those dull, spaced-out eyes, and my overall impression looks much more open, so I’m really happy. Taking photos is fun now too, and I’m ridiculously happy.
