I had incisional double eyelid surgery 15 years ago, but because of asymmetrical eyes and sunken upper eyelids, I decided to get revision eye surgery this time! Since I live outside Seoul, I couldn’t go all the way there.. After reading reviews of eye revision surgeries, I finally decided on Ibone Plastic Surgery, an eye surgery specialist clinic in Seomyeon, Busan! (I had consultations at 4 places, and the doctor and consultation manager were kind, so I felt I could trust them.) During the revision surgery by incision, they said I had severe epicanthal folds, so they would do medial epicanthoplasty + upper epicanthoplasty, and for the sunken upper eyelids, they would do micro fat grafting. From the day of surgery to day 3, the swelling was pretty bad.. Since it was a revision surgery, I was worried the swelling might not go down well, but thankfully, most of the major swelling seems to have gone down!! Anyway.. after the stitches were removed, it settled quite a bit, but maybe because the swelling is worse in my right eye, it looks bigger.. They said they’ll check my progress in 2 weeks, so I hope it goes down well by then.. I wanted a semi-out line, but the doctor said an in-out line would look more natural, so I went with in-out.. I was a bit disappointed, but I think it was good that I followed the doctor’s opinion!! I’m hoping it looks even more natural once more swelling goes down and all the bruising fades!
