It’s been two months since surgery. A lot of the swelling has gone down compared to the beginning, but the middle of my nose still looks deeply sunken, so I’m really worried. Because of silicone contracture, I had it removed, and the nasal tip was done with donated costal cartilage + ear cartilage + autologous dermis. From the moment the splint was removed, the middle already looked sunken. Even now that the swelling has gone down, it still looks the same, so I don’t know whether this is still because of swelling or whether it has become like a saddle nose. The clinic keeps only telling me to wait longer, but in cases like this, does it really get better with time? Or if it looks sunken like this from early on, could it possibly be a saddle nose? The first photo is now, two months later, and the second photo is the day the splint was removed, after one week.
