Here’s my story of finally improving my complex with incisional double eyelid surgery. I had only had ptosis correction surgery at another hospital before, but I don’t know if that surgery wasn’t done properly, because it didn’t show enough for anyone to notice, and my eyes didn’t change into the style I wanted, so I was really upset.
I was someone who had monolid eyes that people said were attractive in their own way, and that I would look much prettier if only I had more strength opening my eyes. But since that didn’t improve, I eventually decided that I should get double eyelid surgery in a way that suited me, without looking too unnatural.
**Before surgery -While researching online, I wanted to make a definite change this time, so I carefully looked up photo reviews and consultation reviews -When I went for consultations, I only picked places without overtreatment.. Among them, I booked the place where the director’s aesthetic sense matched my style the best -Other places recommended all kinds of things, but this place recommended only exactly what was necessary, so I trusted them
**After surgery -This time, after the surgery, the swelling and bruising were quite significant Still, since I had surgery, I thought it couldn’t be helped and waited through the recovery period.. -So at first, the line looked a bit high, but as time passed, it gradually settled into the line the director and I had planned during the consultation -As time went by, my satisfaction kept getting higher, and when I closed my eyes, the incision line didn’t show badly
**Swelling care -I followed the compress method the hospital taught me properly and kept all the basics -At first, as I said earlier, the swelling came up a bit, so I went for walks, took vitamins, and diligently walked around -Oh, and I also drank water often! I don’t know if this has much to do with it.. Anyway, after repeating this routine, after week 2 the major swelling went down steadily
After getting eye surgery this time, people around me say I did such a good job getting it done, and because the line settled naturally for my face, my satisfaction is even higher. The line isn’t overwhelming either!
Incisional surgery does have good fixation, but I was still worried the scar would show a lot when I closed my eyes. It hasn’t even completely settled yet, but at this level, doesn’t it barely show?? That’s how I feel. At the very least, I think I have less to worry about because of the incisional scar
