About 12 years ago, I had posterior canthoplasty surgery, and as time passed, due to a side effect in my right eye, the lower eyelid conjunctival area started to become visible outward, which became uncomfortable. As severe dry eye developed and my vision worsened, at the first hospital I went to, I was only told by three places to go to a specialized hospital. I couldn’t receive surgery and only had consultations, so I didn’t think it was a big deal, but then I suddenly became flustered. Then the director of a plastic surgery clinic near Sinsa Station said he would do it, so I trusted him and had surgery, but in the end, he pulled the eye even more in the opposite direction, making the eye gaping worse. As basic common sense, if it has opened up, you need to bring it together for it to improve, but he pulled it more and opened it up further. I was devastated, but while looking into specialists in posterior canthoplasty, I heard that restoration was possible with the 3-way surgical method at Barabon Plastic Surgery, so I had revision surgery again. Other places said it would not be easy, but the director explained the restoration method and prognosis in detail and honestly during the consultation, so I trusted him. Now, because of the incorrect surgery and the time it was left untreated, the scar is large from the traces where tissue was removed, but the eye itself has improved a lot. I’m posting this in hopes that it will help people who, like me, are worried about revision surgery after a botched operation. If you’re considering revision surgery for posterior canthoplasty, please get a consultation at Barabon Plastic Surgery first. Other directors also recommended him, saying that being able to perform surgeries that other directors say are difficult means he has that much skill.
