As I got older and my upper eyelids became thicker, I looked sleepy unless I forced my eyes open, and I had to open my eyes as if frowning with my forehead. I felt this was causing problems in my work and relationships, so I decided to have surgery.
After searching in a community, I had consultations at about 3 clinics. The other two clinics were not exactly unfriendly, but maybe because they were popular clinics, it was hard to have the surgery done by the head director. They also recommended doing a sub-brow lift together with ptosis correction, so the cost was not insignificant. On top of that, when I was looking into it, I heard that ptosis surgery should be approached carefully unless you are someone who has virtually no strength to open the eyes. Since it was not a factory-style clinic and I could have the surgery done directly by the director, I decided to have surgery at this clinic. The director of this clinic also became independent after working at another clinic, and I heard that at the previous clinic he was well known for natural-looking eye surgery.
Because I took the photos awkwardly, it does not show much, but after 6 months had passed since surgery, it was not a surgical problem, but maybe because my upper eyelids had been very thick before, when I was in the most relaxed state, my left eye felt very slightly lacking. I wanted it lifted a bit more, so I requested an aftercare procedure, and they gladly did it for me.
After the first surgery, I had swelling for 1 week and bruising marks for 2 weeks, but after the aftercare surgery, there was almost no swelling, and the balance between both eyes is now the way I wanted. Once it stabilizes, I will try posting aftercare photos too.
When I open my eyes, forehead wrinkles no longer form and I do not have to strain, so personally it is great. People around me also did not know I had surgery until I told them, and they said things like, "Your impression somehow looks better," so I am very satisfied and found myself thinking I should have done it sooner.
For reference, I heard that each plastic surgery clinic has its own characteristics, and looking at this clinic's before-and-after photos, rather than dramatic changes, it seemed like their style was to pursue natural-looking results. In terms of cost, if you think of it as the cost of one procedure, it was a little higher than a factory-style clinic, but it was not an absurdly high price. Considering that the surgery is performed directly by the head director, it was a cost I could fully accept.
