4-5 years ago, I had double eyelid surgery with the buried-suture method, but one side came undone, so this time I had revision surgery using the incisional method. Since I was doing it, I also got epicanthoplasty… haha The doctor was really kind and explained well what kind of line would suit me. Since I was already doing surgery, I also wanted lateral canthoplasty, but because I have somewhat prominent cheekbones, he honestly told me he didn’t recommend it because it would probably relapse even if I got it done, so I was really grateful. Around the time the surgery was almost over, I felt like there was a foreign-body sensation in my eye, so I told him, and he checked it very thoroughly. Starting the day after surgery, the swelling gradually got worse, so I tried to reduce it by drinking pumpkin juice and doing a little aerobic exercise. For almost 50 days, I slept lying at an incline. The scabs weren’t coming off, so I soaked them with sterile gauze and normal saline, then gently wiped them away, taking care of the area every day. By around day 10, the swelling had gone down somewhat and it was fine. On the day the stitches were removed, he came by to check whether the condition was okay and answered all my questions well. Right now I like it so, so much, and people around me say it turned out really natural, so I’m very happy haha Usually people say you should look into several places before deciding on revision surgery, but I saw that an acquaintance who had surgery with this doctor turned out well, so I decided on the surgery just based on him.
