The rhinoplasty itself turned out well, I like it, and it looks pretty enough that I only get compliments wherever I go. But once I started thinking, “Will this last forever?” I keep wondering, “I’m not even a celebrity, so is there any reason to keep maintaining it?” So I’m thinking about removing the nose implant, and since I can’t just leave the area where the silicone was as it is, I’m considering reinforcing it with autologous dermis... There’s a lot of septal cartilage and ear cartilage in there too, so if I take all of that out, I feel like the shape might get worse, so I also want to leave it alone... Are there people who have lived with silicone in place for over 40 years? I’m just curious for no reason... If there’s anything I know, I’ll share it too. I want to hear everyone’s thoughts on my concern.
