Review of revision surgery for a severely contracted nose!

Hi everyone! I’d only been lurking, but after reading the posts, I felt more confident too, so I’m posting this. About 10 years ago, I had rhinoplasty at some plastic surgery clinic in Busan (I don’t even remember the name), and around 3 years later (after giving birth), it gradually started throbbing and my nose slowly began getting shorter. Recently, it became a completely upturned nose like in the photo above. My kids are older now, and more than anything, I developed social avoidance to the point where I couldn’t go outside without a mask, so I decided I really had to do it. I hated seeing myself being sensitive with my family too, so I worked hard going around for consultations. I wanted my nose shape to improve compared to now, but more than that, I didn’t have the confidence to remove the implant and wait over 6 months with that strange-looking nose Then I saw posts by two people in another community that felt so similar to my situation, and their results were so good, so I left comments on both. But both of them said it was BomBam in Suwon! So I canceled the reservations I had made elsewhere and went for a consultation right away. The director here has been doing rhinoplasty only with autologous dermis for over 25 years, so he has a lot of experience with contracted noses and extreme nose cases, and he explained everything about autologous dermis in so much detail that it would have been okay even if I had gone in knowing nothing about it. So I decided and set the dates for the first and second surgeries. I don’t know how it was for others, but when I had rhinoplasty before, sedation anesthesia felt really strange and scary. It was kind of an unpleasant feeling, like being sucked into an unknown world. But when I had it done here, I was really comfortable. After the first surgery, they had put on something like a splint, so I couldn’t see the shape of the nose after removal, but since there was no cotton inside my nose, I could breathe comfortably, which was nice. While removing the implant, he also did surgery to release the contracture, so I was able to have the second surgery soon. And about 3 days later, I went for the second surgery, and they removed the splint. After hearing the explanation from the director, I waited in the recovery room and saw my nose after removal, and seriously.. legendary. It wasn’t that my nasal bridge was low; it was just gone I was really glad I didn’t have to wait several months in that state. I had the second surgery right away and even drove home, but neither my buttocks nor my nose hurt at all. I was originally going to do autologous dermis + ear cartilage, but since the contracture was so severe, it seemed like my skin wouldn’t be able to withstand it, so to be safe, I used autologous dermis for both the nasal bridge and the nasal tip. They said that when autologous dermis is rolled round and placed in the nasal tip, it’s called a pearl nasal tip. After seeing how much gets absorbed, I think I may add a pearl nasal tip or ear cartilage around 1 year later (or I may not). It’s now 2 weeks since my rhinoplasty, and my nose still doesn’t hurt, and my buttocks only sting very slightly. When raising kids, there are lots of times you get hit in the face, you know. So I was being really careful, but I got hit a few times while sleeping.. hahaha Everyone, be careful… Conclusion: I’m extremely satisfied!! If you’re suffering from side effects like me, consider autologous dermis too.
