It’s already been 4 weeks since my nose revision surgery haha. It was a revision surgery, and I had it done without an implant, using donated costal cartilage and ear cartilage. There’s still a little bit of numbness? left, but it doesn’t interfere with daily life at all. I looked into it for over a year, doing both online and in-person research before having the surgery. That’s understandable, since it was my first revision surgery in 17 years, and I had developed contracture, which made my nostrils show, so I was stressed about it. I made a list of 6 clinics, and the plastic surgery clinic I chose was the one I found out about last. The consultation with Director Kim Jae-yoon and the consultant was straightforward. The realistic consultation made me trust them right away, so I booked the surgery immediately. The director told me in advance that if I had surgery without an implant, I might feel a sense of loss afterward, and that he would make the bridge and tip of the nose without any height difference; he even brought up the parts I was planning to ask about first haha. When I went in for an interim treatment, he also asked me whether I felt any sense of loss haha. Honestly, since it was a no-implant surgery and only the nasal tip was being operated on, I didn’t have high expectations, so I was surprised when I saw the height of my nose after surgery. If it was going to turn out like this, I should’ve only had my nasal tip done the first time haha. Looking in the mirror every day has become part of my routine. I’m also curious to see how it will look a little different after full recovery. I was glad I could have the surgery at a reasonable price, and I’m also happy because I’m satisfied with the result.
