One-Month Review After Implant-Free Rhinoplasty

It has been one month since I had hump nose surgery without implants at a plastic surgery clinic. My protruding hump nose had been a huge complex my whole life, and I felt stressed every time I looked in the mirror, but it has already been a month since the surgery.

I have some facial asymmetry, so I was very worried that it might look even more noticeable after rhinoplasty. On top of that, I also had a deviated nose, so I had a lot on my mind. During the consultation, the director looked at my face shape and immediately pointed out the asymmetrical areas first. I trusted him because he said he would take the asymmetry into account and pay extra attention to align the center naturally without making it look awkward, so I decided right away.

I disliked an artificial look, so I chose implant-free surgery. Without silicone, autologous cartilage (septal cartilage and ear cartilage) was used, and hump osteotomy and nasal tip correction were performed together. Since autologous tissue was used, I felt much more at ease~

✨ Current condition (1 month) • Line: The hump area, which had been my biggest concern, has been smoothed out, and with the deviated nose and nasal tip line also refined, my impression looks much cleaner. Not only from the side but also from the front, I feel like the asymmetry has improved a lot, so although it still feels unfamiliar whenever I look in the mirror, it’s fascinating. • Recovery: There is still a slight red line left from where the stitches were removed. The swelling at the nasal tip has not fully gone down yet, so overall it still feels a little awkward, but I can see the line gradually settling more naturally over time, so I’m fairly satisfied haha • Reactions around me: I hear a lot that it doesn’t look overly obvious that I had surgery, but my impression looks much softer and more refined. People around me say I naturally became prettier, so all I can think is that I should have done it sooner.

I’m still recovering, so I’m waiting for the redness and remaining swelling to go down more, but compared with before, when I was busy hiding my side profile because of the hump, I feel much more confident now~!
