Plastic Surgery Clinic Review from a Community

I was stressed for years because of a contracted nose, and in the end I had revision surgery ㅠㅠ After my first surgery, as time passed, my nose felt like it was gradually turning up and becoming hard, so I was conscious of it every time I took photos. My frontal appearance looked especially strange, to the point that I really hated looking in the mirror. Every time I smiled, it felt like the nasal tip looked even more upturned, so I ended up needlessly worrying about my facial expressions and becoming overly conscious of people’s gazes.

So this time, I went to consultations at several hospitals and carefully chose a director with a lot of revision surgery experience, and I ended up having revision surgery with the director at a plastic surgery clinic. During the consultation, he listened step by step from why I was stressed, and that made me feel somewhat reassured. It was not like, “Let’s just make it higher no matter what”; he explained realistically how my current condition should be improved, which I liked.

Honestly, I was scared because it was another surgery, but I was told that releasing the contracture was the most important part, so I heard a lot of explanations mainly about that. Rather than raising it excessively like before, we set the direction toward shaping it naturally, and he designed it so the nasal tip would come down softly. I liked that he focused more on whether it suited my overall face than on just chasing a line.

There is still swelling left, so it has not completely settled yet, but the upturned look has definitely disappeared a lot, and it looks much more natural from the front too. The hard feeling also seems softer than before, so I feel more at ease when I touch it haha I had so many worries because it was revision surgery, but I also feel like I suffered alone for nothing, and I wonder why I didn’t do it sooner haha

If anyone is worried because of contracture like I was, don’t put it off too much and at least get a consultation. Honestly, the emotional stress was harder ㅠㅠ
