It’s day 3 after my rhinoplasty, and I had the cotton packing removed this morning. When I lay down to sleep just now, a lot of mucus had pooled inside my nose, making a gurgling sound and feeling stuffy. At first, I only gently removed what was stuck near the entrance with a cotton swab, applied Quinovid ophthalmic ointment, and lay down. But after trying to put up with it, it felt so stuffy that I ended up putting the cotton swab in a bit deeper and dug out some mucus(?) that was stuck inside. When I removed it, a tiny bit of something like bloody nasal crust came out. I applied plenty of ointment deep inside again and turned on the humidifier, but inflammation or anything should be okay, right? I gently rotated the cotton swab to remove it And even when I’m staying still, my nose keeps running nonstop. - Is it normal to have a lot of runny nose? - Is it okay that I touched deep inside with a cotton swab? - How should I take care of it in this state? People with experience, please let me know,, Right now I have gauze on because of the runny nose.
