How I went in for an entropion consultation and ended up getting double eyelid surgery too

I didn’t start out going around for consultations because I wanted double eyelid surgery. Ever since I was young, my eyelashes kept poking my eyes -> my eyes became very irritated -> even when I wore makeup, it would smudge, and while studying before important exams, it stressed me out so much. Rather than living in discomfort like this forever, I wanted to hurry up and get surgery to improve it, so I first started looking into entropion surgery. Of course, at first I looked into ophthalmology clinics, but even though the surgery can be done functionally, when I read reviews from people who had it done, quite a few said their eye shape subtly changed from before, or that because aesthetic aspects weren’t considered, their eyes looked less pretty. So I started looking again for a plastic surgery clinic that could treat entropion. Then I saw reviews from people who had entropion surgery at a clinic, and everyone said the results were good, so I went for a consultation. At first, the director examined my eyes mainly focusing on the entropion, but since I was already there, he said he would also look at my double eyelid line and other additional procedures, so I listened to the explanation together. But the line the director made for me was so, so, so pretty.... And although the director explained double eyelid surgery to me, he absolutely did NOT say I had to do it. He said if I wanted it, I could do it, and if not, I could just do the entropion surgery. But he also said that before surgery, I needed to know the characteristics of my own eye shape accurately, and I think that made me trust him. When I thought about it, whether I did entropion surgery or double eyelid surgery, I would be under anesthesia and having surgery anyway.... So I wondered if I should take this chance to escape monolids, and since my eyes sometimes looked like they had overlapping creases anyway, I ended up getting double eyelid surgery, fat removal, orbital fat repositioning, and epicanthoplasty together! This was my first time getting cosmetic surgery, and the operating room felt so fascinating. Before surgery, I did an air shower?? then had pack care, vital checks, anesthesia, and so on.. It was all such a new experience. Also, even though it was eye surgery, it didn’t feel like they were taking anything lightly; they checked everything safely before operating, so I was able to finish my first cosmetic surgery comfortably. Honestly, in the beginning, until before the one-week mark, my eyes were really, really swollen Even to me, they were just OMG.... Still, I thought the eyelash poking improved immediately even on the day of surgery, and when I had the stitches removed at one week, the line looked more crooked than I expected, so I was upset like, huh? Is this right? But as time passed and the swelling went down, it got better.... As expected, with cosmetic surgery, waiting it out seems to be the answer. I was also so thankful to the consultant, who told me I could come in anytime for swelling care when I was getting impatient Maybe because I had entropion surgery too, my swelling went down more slowly than other people’s, but after about two months, the swelling was going down much more naturally, and from then on I think I was able to wear eye makeup comfortably. The epicanthoplasty also turned out naturally without looking sharp, so it didn’t even look obvious that I had surgery For the entropion, I watched how quickly the scar on the lower lash line would disappear. The incision scar + redness started gradually fading after one month, and after about three months, it was completely invisible, which I like even more haha. I think I really made the right choice not getting it done at an ophthalmology clinic and doing it at a plastic surgery clinic instead. The director seems to specialize in entropion surgery, so for everyone here who is looking into eye surgery because of similar concerns like mine, I definitely recommend going for a consultation at least once!
