I really think there is a reason people say time is the answer when it comes to facial contouring. In the early 1 to 3 months, even though I thought the major swelling had gone down, my face still somehow felt firm and slightly numb, so I kept wondering, “Has it still not fully gone down yet?” But after 6 months passed and I entered the 7th month, it feels like the overall facial line has definitely refined once more. My cheekbones used to look wide toward the sides, but that has improved a lot, so my face looks narrower from the front. For the square jaw, the angles have been smoothed out, and my overall impression looks much softer. The chin tip also connects naturally without looking separate, so my side profile in particular has become much cleaner. Before, when taking photos, I used to care a lot about angles and photo editing was a must so my cheekbones wouldn’t stand out, but these days I don’t worry much even when taking pictures with a regular camera. Both the front and side views feel more balanced, and I’ve been trying more varied hairstyles than before. The minor residual swelling may not be completely zero yet, but I have no discomfort at all in daily life, and sensation has almost fully returned. Right now, at 7 months post-op, is when I feel the most satisfied, and it feels like it’s becoming more natural as time passes, so in conclusion, I think I made the right decision. For those considering facial contouring, I recommend not getting impatient after only seeing the early results and watching the progress for at least 6 months or more. For men especially, naturalness is important, and I think it has now settled well in exactly that direction.
