Hello! This is my one-month review after nose surgery haha. My nose was not originally on the low side, but I always felt a little disappointed by its bulbous shape and blunt-looking nasal tip. After thinking about it for a while, I decided to have nose surgery. I booked my surgery with Dr. Kim Jin-woo at a plastic surgery clinic known for having a good aesthetic sense.
I tend to think that a doctor’s aesthetic sense is the most important thing, whether it is a procedure or surgery, so that was a major factor in my choice. During the consultation, I said that rather than an overly high or flashy nose, I wanted a natural-looking nose that suited my face well.
After the consultation, the doctor recommended bulbous nose correction + short nose correction + nasal tip surgery using ear cartilage only, without an implant. He was also extremely kind during the consultation.
Until about one month after surgery, my nasal tip was very upturned, so I worried a lot and felt down. But once a little over a month had passed, the swelling went down dramatically. Thankfully, the nasal tip also came down a little. It still feels slightly high, but I heard that the nose usually settles properly at around 6 months, so I’m waiting with some hope haha.
I wanted a natural look, and other than my family, people around me do not seem to notice that I had surgery. They just seem to feel that “something is a little different,” so I’m actually satisfied with that.
Also, my nose was originally slightly asymmetrical, and I like that the symmetry has been improved.
The front view still feels a little awkward, but I quite like the side profile.
I think I’ll be even more satisfied once more swelling goes down and my nostrils show a little less after about 6 months haha. How does it look to everyone...? haha
I’ll post another review later once time passes and it looks more natural.
