I think I’ve had only my nose done 6 or 7 times, but I don’t know the exact number. There was a time when the silicone protruded, so I had it removed, and from then on my nose became very swollen, scar tissue formed inside my nose, and it became shorter. Looking back, that was a contracture phenomenon, but I think I was too complacent.
The hospital where I had surgery this time specializes in contracted noses, and because I had silicone removed and my nose condition was poor, they said we should operate using autologous costal cartilage without silicone. They also suggested improving the shortened nose by lowering the columella, so I agreed. I had also tried HIKO before, so they removed the existing HIKO threads too.
I’ve had many revision surgeries and it was a contracted nose, so quite a lot of options were added and the cost came out pretty high, but at this point I don’t think cost is the issue anymore. I just wanted to go back to how I used to be before suffering more emotionally, and from experience, whenever I chose a second-best option because of cost or other reasons, I was never satisfied, so I chose the place I really wanted, thinking this would truly be the last time.
I really dislike anything excessive now, so I wanted it to look natural, but after listening to the director and letting go of my greed, the line came out not bad. I heard they can do both natural and glamorous lines, and maybe because of that, it seems like it turned out well, tailored to me without leaning too natural or too glamorous.
It’s true that my nose condition was poor, but I also honestly viewed it negatively because so many options were added. Still, since the result is good, I feel like I can accept it... They had shown me a preview of the postoperative photos in advance, and whether the world has gotten better or it’s the director’s skill, it’s so similar that it feels a little uncanny.
