Nose Re-Surgery

Timing for Nose Implant Removal

The director who did my first rhinoplasty said we should wait and see for 6 months to 1 year before doing either revision surgery or removal (he said it’s not good to open it up frequently). I’m definitely planning to remove the silicone, so I’m worried that if it stays pressed in for a long time, my nasal bridge might get even lower, and I want to take it out quickly. But I’m also bothered by the comment that opening it up too often isn’t good, so I don’t know when I should do it. Would it all be the same no matter when I do it, whether I remove the silicone and redo only the nasal tip surgery, or do a full removal? I’ve seen many people do full removal right after 6 months, but it seems like people wait a bit longer for revision surgery, so I’m asking.
