First, to explain the condition of my eyes, my eyes have always been completely uneven since I was young. One eye had no double-eyelid line (I'm not completely sure, but I think it was closer to a monolid than an inner double eyelid), and the other eye had a very deep double eyelid. Since the difference was actually so obvious that, at a glance, people might not notice it, I just lived without paying much attention to it... But after returning from the military and moving into my mid-to-late 20s, a thin line gradually started forming on the side that didn't have a double eyelid. Then the double-eyelid line kept changing every day, and now it has completely settled into a thick line. The second through fifth photos show the current condition.. Sigh...
The condition looks so bad that I want to get double-eyelid surgery, but apparently there is no such thing as double-eyelid removal surgery anyway... I watched a video by Director ㄱㅎㅅ at ㄸㅋ, and although it was called double-eyelid removal surgery, he ultimately said it was inner double-eyelid surgery. He said that for surgery to lower men's double-eyelid lines, he only performs incisional surgery, and especially for people with deep lines, it has to be done by incision... On top of that, he said something like ptosis correction may also be needed.
I don't know whether my eye-opening strength is strong or weak, but I recently went to an ophthalmology clinic, and they said I have severe astigmatism and that it could be because the eyelid-opening strength is weak.
When you click into surgeries on YouTube that are called double-eyelid removal, they all end up being surgeries that make an inner double eyelid. For me, even if it becomes an inner double eyelid, I don't really mind as long as it comes out in the line I want... Please refer to the 6th and 7th photos for the shape I want..
I only made the line on the side where the new double eyelid formed, and the line is easy enough to make without needing to poke it with anything. I can make it just by slightly pulling the eyelid with my hand, putting a little strength into my eye, and letting go. If it could turn out exactly like this, I think I'd be so happy...
To maintain that, the line is too thin for double-eyelid tape to work, and I have to buy an expensive double-eyelid liquid (the kind that forms a film rather than feeling like glue) and apply it extremely thinly as low as possible, but it comes undone quickly and doesn't seem good for my eyes either...
The problem is that I don't want an incision because I heard incisions are very noticeable, and I want to keep the cost as low as possible, but I'm worried they may add things like a lift, ptosis correction, and so on...
To organize just a few questions:
1. Would they possibly do inner double-eyelid surgery on only one eye? Would it be better to do both sides anyway..
2. As the ㄸㅋ ㄱㅎㅅ video said, does it absolutely have to be done by incision?? If I do it non-incisionally, since my double eyelid is deep, would it come undone quickly...
3. For a type like mine, besides the double-eyelid surgery itself, would a lot of things like ptosis correction be added and make the cost high??
4. Is it best to just go to an expensive and famous clinic? I heard there has been some talk about ㅇㅇㅂ lately, and ㄷㅇㅇ is booked out... The cost is also a bit burdensome... There are many plastic surgery clinics in Incheon too, but since I'm doing it anyway, should I go somewhere expensive and good? I feel like my case is somehow difficult, so I also feel like I shouldn't go somewhere cheap.
