Filler Reviews@filler-review

A review after doing lots of online research, visiting clinics, and getting mouth corner lift surgery!

My mouth corners have always been slightly downturned, so even when I was just sitting still, my face looked angry or gloomy, and I had a bit of a sagging? look. I usually managed it with filler and Botox, but it wore off quickly, or even when I got it done, it didn’t really show much.. I wanted something that would last more long-term, so I think I looked up a ton of real reviews for mouth corner lift surgery. Cases where the corners were lifted excessively might have high satisfaction right after surgery, but I don’t really like when it looks too obvious, so I wanted just enough correction for when my face is expressionless? A natural-looking result.

I went to several places for consultations, and among them, one clinic’s consultation matched my preferred style the best in terms of the doctor’s principles? lol During the consultation, he first looked at my facial proportions and checked the direction of the muscles around my mouth corners. What I wanted wasn’t an exaggerated smile line, but a natural improvement of only the drooping, and the doctor also said that if the corners are lifted too much, it can look unnatural when smiling, so he said we should first set it naturally without making it too excessive. Honestly, I think I decided because I liked that part the most.

On the day of surgery, it was done under sedation, so it was better than how nervous I had been. When I came out after surgery, the mouth corner area felt a bit stiff and tight? That was about it, and I don’t think it hurt much. Opening my mouth wide or laughing was uncomfortable for a few days, but other than that, there wasn’t any major difficulty!

Up until days 3 to 4 after surgery, it felt slightly awkward, and my mouth corners felt more lifted than I expected, so I was worried, like, did this turn out a bit too excessive? But as time passed and the swelling went down, it gradually became more natural, and I think it settled into exactly the shape I wanted!

By around week 2, it looked just as corrected as I had wanted when my face was expressionless, and now it’s been a little under a month. There’s almost no obvious sign that I had surgery, and it just feels like my impression has become a bit softer, so I’m really satisfied hahaha
