My eyes used to be ordinary, natural-looking, uneven eyes, but I always really, really wanted a cat-like look. You know, eyes that look defined and sharp even without heavy makeup... But with my original eyes, I could never get anywhere close to a cat-like look ^^ And I’m not exactly good at makeup either (one side had no double eyelid at all, so it was even harder), so I couldn’t cover it up. I finally made a big decision and got double eyelid surgery.
When I first started looking into double eyelid surgery, I thought that since so many people get it, the difficulty level would be lower than expected, you know? But once I actually went around for consultations, what the...;; There were so many places that recommended other surgeries I hadn’t even asked for, or places where the aesthetic sense just didn’t match mine at all~~~ I wanted to change from stuffy-looking eyes to a pretty cat-like look, but so many places just took a quick look and ended it.... Because so many people get double eyelid surgery, I feel like there are also a lot of places that will just look over you roughly and operate even without much skill Everyone, please make sure to research carefully before doing it.
After visiting almost 6 places, I had a consultation at this clinic. At first, honestly, I didn’t go because I liked the reviews that much, but because they were good at natural adhesion. But after consulting with Director Kim Tae-hoon, my interest, which had been about 10%, went up to almost 90-100%. I really liked his explanation. First, 1. eye surgery was possible with natural adhesion. 2. He also recommended medial and upper canthoplasty, and once I heard the reason, I trusted it. I felt like if I didn’t do it, I would really get farther from the cat-like look 3. He also recommended ptosis correction, and I was tempted because he said it could be done non-incisionally.
After going to consultations, I talked with my friend at a cafe for 2 hours about the clinics, and in the end, I decided to do it at the clinic where I liked the design the most. And on the day of surgery, how should I put it... I was so, so nervous that I wondered if I had said I would get surgery for nothing, but the clinic staff must have seen lots of people like me, so they just guided me along the set route without much reaction I have cold hands and feet, and the operating room was cold, so my hands and feet were really freezing.. So more than being worried, I just really wanted it to be over quickly.
For the line, I had the left side set at 10 mm and the right side at 9.5 mm, and because my eyes were uneven, it was an unavoidable choice. Honestly, no matter how different both eyes are, setting different line measurements is basically like a gamble, but during the consultation the director had tried setting them the same and also setting them to match one side, so I had surgery feeling convinced.
And after the surgery, oddly, the side that originally had a thin double eyelid was more swollen. It felt uneven on both sides?? At first I was anxious, but when I looked it up, they said a lot of people’s swelling changes unevenly. So I just quietly waited and watched, and after more than a week, the two sides gradually started matching..... The eyes I had thought were stuffy became much more open-looking I wanted a cat-like look, but I didn’t want it to be too much, so I chose an in-out line, and I think that was the right choice.
The in-out line + canthoplasty combination is seriously amazing….. Even without makeup (honestly, I’m not good at it anyway..), my eyes look so big, and everyone keeps telling me I did such a good job getting double eyelid surgery After changing from small, closed-looking eyes to a glamorous cat-like look, I started enjoying dressing up, so these days I’m spending all my money on makeup and changing my hair..
