I went because I was curious about what I’d look like after surgery, and now that I’ve had surgery, I’d say they got pretty close, about 85% similar. Even that is something, I guess.... It’s all relative. If you go to the consultation in full makeup, of course the predicted photo will look pretty. I recommend just getting the consultation looking the way you usually do.
For materials, I used autologous costal cartilage + silicone, about 4 mm?? For the autologous costal cartilage, they used the 6th rib, and they emphasized that it was sturdy. But seriously, at first when I touched the columella, I was like, huh? It really felt hard in the beginning. Luckily it has softened up a bit now.
Maybe because my bulbous nose was really end-stage, one thing I liked was that the line became clearly defined. But since the materials differ from person to person, I’m not sure if telling you this is even meaningful??
(+Added) I told them a stitch was coming out of my nose, and they immediately told me to come in, so I went, had it removed, and received care. Their response was quick, which was nice?? Since I was there, the director checked me once more too, and even after surgery they kept checking on me well. The consultant also tends to reply eventually, even if the replies are late.
There wasn’t anything specific that was especially hard, but the nasal packing felt so stuffy at first, and it was a bit hard not being able to drink water from the evening before. Thankfully those were things that ended quickly.. I don’t think I had discomfort in the nose itself!!! I held on with the single determination that I wanted my front and side views to change I think it has improved a lot now.
