Bulbous nose/long nose/crooked nose nasal tip surgery with septal cartilage + ear cartilage
I was really nervous because the Lunar New Year holiday was the first time I would be showing my nose to my relatives. I didn’t want to go because I wasn’t happy with my nose, but I was curious how my nose looked to other people, so I went.
First of all, many of the older adults reacted like something had changed, but they couldn’t tell what it was. I think it’s probably because my frontal appearance hasn’t changed that much. It’s not that my bulbous nose hasn’t improved at all, and the nasal ala area has become slimmer than my original nose, but I had asked the doctor to keep the nasal ala area rounded, so I don’t think the overall impression from the front has changed much. Still, compared with my original nose, the nasal ala area is slimmer! Since it’s only day 17, I think more swelling will go down!
I had a long nose, and I was upset because I felt like the doctor made the length of my nose from the front too short, but the older adults said my face looks shorter and slimmer. But I feel like it has become too short, so I’m waiting for my nasal tip to come down soon And I do think the upturned look from the front is getting better, but I hope it improves more My philtrum still looks long, but since my originally long and droopy nose suddenly became much shorter, I think my originally long philtrum now stands out more. Also, maybe because it still feels awkward when I talk, my philtrum seems a bit fixed in place
And the most important thing, the side view… First of all, the older adults reacted by saying it isn’t that overwhelming, and that it hasn’t even been a month yet, so it will come down more. But I still feel like it looks overwhelming. Still, I can feel that my nose is coming down! Even if it’s subtle When I look at the side-view photos, I can see that the columella has come down slightly!
Exactly at the 2-week mark, I went to the clinic and told them about my situation, and they did say it would come down more from here! The doctor was off, so I spoke with the nurse! I hope it comes down a lot
I feel like a lot of the swelling has gone down, but does it still look very swollen to everyone?? Because I keep looking in the mirror, maybe I’ve gotten attached to it despite disliking it, so 1 out of 10 times there are moments when it looks okay, but I still spend a lot of time feeling distressed, so it’s hard emotionally
