Male rhinoplasty review for a low nasal bridge and wide nasal base (1 month)

I have always felt some regret about my nose because I had a low nasal bridge and wide nasal base. But because I could easily access aftercare videos showing side effects and risks of rhinoplasty, I kept putting it off. Then I watched a male YouTuber’s rhinoplasty vlog and decided that I should do rhinoplasty too. That YouTuber had a nose shape similar to mine, and after surgery there was a very large change in appearance and it looked natural, so I changed my mind. I sent a DM to his Instagram account to ask which clinic and doctor he saw, and I learned that he had surgery with Dr. Kim Hyun-joo at Alu Plastic Surgery Clinic. Even after getting that information, I still worried for a long time about side effects and unnatural results, and eventually I made up my mind, had a consultation, and proceeded with male rhinoplasty. In the consultation, I explained the parts of my nose I was unhappy with (the nasal bridge and nasal base), and I especially emphasized that I wanted a natural nose shape above all. The doctor told me he would correct the bridge by using autologous costal cartilage to raise the nasal tip and use silicone to raise the nasal bridge. Because I had come after reviewing others, I asked for no extra requests and only asked for a natural result, then trusted the doctor and proceeded. The first week after surgery was very uncomfortable. Because autologous costal cartilage was used, I had a constant dull pain near the rib area, and because cotton was placed inside my nose, I had to breathe only through my mouth. Also, although I’m not sure if it was personal discomfort during anesthesia, my throat was very painful for 1-2 days. For these reasons, I could not sleep comfortably at night, so I had to endure these discomforts during the early postoperative period. On postoperative day two, the nasal packing was removed, but because the nasal mucosa may have been weakened, I had nasal obstruction and it was uncomfortable to breathe through the nose. The doctor said the congestion would decrease as time passed. After that, pain, swelling, and bruising at the autologous costal cartilage harvest site gradually improved, and by week three I am living a normal daily life with almost no discomfort. Slight swelling at the nasal tip and a very faint yellow bruise around the nose remain, and otherwise recovery is going very normally. From one week after surgery, when the splint was removed and I could clearly see the nose shape, the height of the nasal bridge and the shape of the tip looked very natural, so I was satisfied. There is still some swelling left at the nasal tip, but I feel good as it gradually decreases each day and the nose keeps settling into place, and I am satisfied.
