I was so busy that I’m only posting my review now. Before surgery, I kept worrying by myself about whether to leave the support structure in, and stayed up all night looking for information.. In the end, I had everything completely removed without leaving anything, and I feel so relieved lol (They told me during surgery that full removal was possible without any issues)
Because of the swelling and bruising, it’s still hard to see the exact condition, so even if you ask about the clinic information, I’m still cautious about answering for now. If you look at my previous posts, you’ll probably get a rough idea of which clinic it is. I won’t answer separately!
The surgery was done under sedation, and they wake you up in the middle. Toward the end, I did feel quite a bit of pain, but it was bearable, so I endured it. When they showed me the mirror in the middle, my nose looked so flat and big that I was seriously shocked.. I understood what people mean when they say the nasal bridge looks shaved down .....
Anyway, they explained the surgical direction from time to time, said it wouldn’t collapse even if everything was removed, and showed me even the nasal septum, saying there were no issues, so I felt at ease. They said the shaved-looking nasal bridge would regain its contour as the swelling goes down and the tissue fills in, and that the nasal tip swelling would also go down soon.
I really didn’t have expectations for the shape, and I had imagined an even worse appearance, so maybe that’s why I didn’t feel a huge sense of loss. I recommend preparing yourself mentally before removing the splint.
I don’t think the contracture phase has started yet, and I don’t have any particular symptoms, so once I recover a bit more, I’ll bring another review!
