Review of nose surgery with Director Kim In-sang at ㅂㅇㅇ Clinic I had a very severe hump on my nose since I was young, so I always wanted to get nose surgery, but I was too scared to have open rhinoplasty with silicone insertion, so I couldn’t do it. I happened to see it on Instagram, and they said it was non-open surgery using ear cartilage, and that hump correction could also be done simply, so I made a reservation around January 2025, had a consultation at the end of July, and had surgery at the end of December that same year. I live overseas, so the earliest consultation date was July, but I had the surgery in December to fit my schedule. (I don’t think it took that long from consultation to surgery.) I was really worried because I also had a menstruation issue on the day of surgery, but surprisingly, there was very little swelling, and the bruising was very faint (from 3 days after surgery for about 5-6 days), so it didn’t interfere with daily life at all, and it didn’t hurt either. (I took the swelling-care set from the pharmacy on the first floor of the clinic!) Other than my ear hurting a little, there really wasn’t any pain. I removed the taping at home 3 days after surgery, and until the one-week mark, the hump was visible again, so when I saw the director to have the stitches removed and told him, he said there was still swelling and that we should watch it a little longer. But strangely, just as the director said, after 2-3 weeks the hump became a bit more refined. (Probably the area where the hump had been refined looked more prominent because of swelling.) After 1 month, the hump became even more refined, but to be honest, there is a feeling that a very slight hump remains. It’s not completely straight! But I actually like this better. It looks more natural, and since they say humps are trendy these days, I like it even more. And I had hump correction, columella lowering, cartilage tying, and Kozelko, and until week 3, the thread from the cartilage tying was slightly visible if I lifted my nose. Because of this, I worried a lot about whether I needed to go to Korea, but at the 1-month mark, it suddenly disappeared! I don’t know if the thread dissolved or came off,,, After surgery, I realized that I shouldn’t get too hung up on small changes or problems, and that I need to wait and give it time^^ It has been a little over 1 month, and I still have some dullness in sensation at the nasal tip, but compared with open rhinoplasty, the recovery is super fast, and if you want to become prettier naturally, I really recommend it. Actually, my mom strongly opposed it, and her reason was, “If you get nose surgery, won’t the balance with other areas be off and you’ll have to get those done too?!” But with Kozelko, they operated in a way that suited my own face naturally, so I really liked it. Now even my mom, who opposed it, likes it and says I became prettier naturally, and I also feel like it’s just my own nose, to the point that I can’t remember my old nose. If you pursue naturalness, I highly recommend Kozelko!
