6-Month Review After Cheekbone Reduction: Reducing the Lateral Cheekbones Definitely Made My Impression Softer

It has already been 6 months since my cheekbone reduction surgery. At this point, I’ve recovered so completely that I honestly forget I even had surgery. I barely feel any swelling or stiffness, and my facial contour has settled naturally, so I have no discomfort at all in daily life. I can eat freely like before, and my mouth opening and chewing strength have returned completely to normal. In particular, as the lateral cheekbone line has become clearly refined, the comment I hear most often is that my overall facial impression looks much softer and calmer. When taking photos, I no longer feel like my cheekbones look protruded the way they used to, so I don’t worry about my face angle or hairstyle anymore. As 6 months have passed, I can feel the contour becoming even more natural, and even when I touch it, there is no hardness or foreign-body sensation; it really feels like my own face. I’ve started exercising again and can even do weight training at the gym without any strain, and I’m very satisfied with both my recovery and condition. The cheekbone reduction effect is clear without being excessive, so hearing that my “impression improved without it looking obvious” makes me feel the best. At this point, my satisfaction with the result is really high, and I think I would make the same choice even if I went back. If you are considering facial contouring surgery, I think this can be a helpful reference when also taking into account how natural it looks after recovery 😊 I am still very satisfied with my choice to have surgery with Director Kim Jong-yoon at EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
