Facial fat grafting 20 years ago + skin boosters

20 years ago, I had fat grafting to the side cheeks and temples of my face. I didn’t do any other areas. I had a long face, a recessed chin, and a cucumber-shaped face.

Back then, there was a tendency to overfill, so my face became completely like an electric fan. I only had the first round, but the fat took so well that I looked like Anpanman, and people around me said it was weird, like only my face looked as if it was about to burst with fat Eventually, a few years later, I had surgery to remove fat from my side cheeks, but removing it was difficult, so they only took out a very small amount.. 10 years later, both cheeks still looked like I had candy in my mouth, I developed jowly, marionette-line-like sagging, and my mom was so upset that I had a second fat-removal surgery. This time, the removal surgery was done from inside the mouth, and they removed as much as they could, but because of the deep cheek fat pockets and various risks, they couldn’t remove much. I still have jowly bulges on both sides. Still, as time passed, the temples almost all went down, and I lived reasonably satisfied. There is still fat left in both cheeks.

My skin has always been bad, with large pores and very noticeable fine wrinkles, so I started getting skin boosters last year. I have thin skin, visible blood vessels, and combination skin. Last year I got Rejuran HB twice, Rejuran Healer once, Juvelook Skin once, and Tenssera once. But after the last Rejuran Healer, my facial fat suddenly started hollowing out. A step-off boundary appeared where I had fat grafting in my side cheek, and I also developed hollowing under one eye. On my forehead, the muscle above the eyebrow hollowed out.. As my skin kept getting thinner and losing elasticity, the fat-grafted side cheek also developed bumpy fat loss.. like a deflated balloon. Not only the side cheeks, but the entire face where I got Rejuran became thinner. Even above the eyebrow, where it was my first time getting a skin booster, hollowing occurred. I was so shocked that I stopped procedures for 6 months, and during that time, the area above my forehead/eyebrow recovered slightly. Still, it wasn’t immediately severe, so I held out.

When winter came, my skin became so dry, makeup wouldn’t sit well, fine wrinkles were severe, and the hollowing around my eyes wouldn’t come back, so this January I got Rejuran HB one more time. The formulation and consistency are different from Rejuran Healer, and it has hyaluronic acid, and the first two HB treatments last year had been okay, so I got it again (thinking Rejuran might be good for the eye area) But the facial hollowing became even worse.. The hollowing under both eyes became severe, the fat-grafting boundary step-off got worse, the anterior cheek hollowed out, and from the side my face is just bumpy, with even side-cheek depressions. The step-off boundary from the fat grafting became clear even around the marionette area.. I seriously wanted to die At the dermatology clinic, they say Rejuran has no effect on the fat layer and instead thickens the skin barrier, so I ended up seeming like a delusional patient. I even signed before the Rejuran procedure, so I can’t get compensation for side effects When I ask ChatGPT, it says this kind of side effect doesn’t exist. Am I the only one?? Even if I accept that the fat-grafted areas are sensitive, the hollowing under the eyes is honestly absurd. Overall, it felt like every time I got a skin booster, my skin became thinner by one layer and my bone structure started showing. Eventually even the fat-grafting boundaries showed through, and the problem is that the fat-grafted areas are not even, and maybe because I had fat removed twice, bumpy depressions formed.

These days, I want to look into filling it with filler, but I’m emotionally having such a hard time. I don’t think I can do fat grafting again because I have trauma from the past. I want to softly fill the boundary step-offs and hollowing in the side cheeks and anterior cheeks with filler, but is filler okay for the side cheeks.. I’m also considering under-eye filler, but honestly half of me really doesn’t want filler, and the other half feels I absolutely can’t live with this face.. I’m also considering Juvelook Volume, but the fat-grafted areas are bumpy, so I don’t think collagen formation would happen smoothly.. I think this is why fat grafting is bad. There are almost no reviews here from more than 20 years later, so I don’t really know, but side effects can appear even after a long time. My mom also had facial fat grafting with me, and after she passed 60 she gained weight. Unfortunately, the fat grafted into her face was abdominal fat, and as she gained a lot of belly fat, her face also gained fat and became bumpy.. It happened because she only had fat grafted to her cheeks. The weight didn’t go on prettily. It’s impossible to restore, so she just lives like that now. She is over 70 now. So any further fat grafting carries a big risk

If there are people who, like me, had skin boosters on a face with fat grafting and experienced these kinds of side effects, please share I think aging, elasticity, fat-layer thickness, fat grafting, and other factors all interacted and made this happen, but I can’t tell whether it’s because of the Rejuran ingredient. For now, what’s certain is that after Rejuran, my skin became thinner and hollowing occurred in structurally vulnerable areas. If you have anything to share, please let me know And I seriously want to fix this, but I don’t know what the method is.
