For years, I had been stressed about my sunken eyes, asymmetric crease lines, and distorted crease lines, and this time I finally underwent double-eyelid revision surgery and fat grafting to the upper eyelid area at the clinic.
My eyes had already been operated on 3 times, so they were extremely difficult eyes. When I had consultations at other hospitals specializing in revision surgery, I was told that it would be difficult to create the double-eyelid line I wanted, and since all of my previous surgeries had been incisional, it could only be done by incision. They said that if I did that, I might not be able to close my eyes properly (I already had a little lagophthalmos), so it would be better not to touch them. I had almost given up.
But at this clinic, they told me that they could create the line I wanted sufficiently with the buried-suture method, and the line they designed for me was the one I liked the most, so I entrusted my eyes to Director Kim Hyeong-seok.
It was my first time having surgery with the buried-suture method, and even though it was a revision surgery, it ended very simply and quickly. Compared with incision, there was no pain at all. After the surgery, I came out and looked in the mirror, and even though my eyes were extremely swollen and covered in bruises, they looked much better than before... I wished I had done my revision surgery at this clinic sooner 🚰·̫🚰
I did not undergo ptosis correction or canthoplasty at all; I only raised the crease height with the buried-suture method, so it may be hard for others to feel a dramatic change. But for me, 1. my sunken eyes improved, 2. the asymmetric lines improved, and 3. the distorted lines all improved, so I am truly satisfied!
My eye shape itself is severely uneven, this was already my fourth double-eyelid surgery, and at my previous hospital they cut away too much of my eyelid tissue while saying they were removing scar tissue, so my eyes were really difficult to revise. I think the director is truly skilled 🥹
If only I had known Director Kim Hyeong-seok 10 years earlier, my eyes would never have ended up this damaged I am writing this long review so that others do not waste money and time by going to other hospitals for no reason!
*The reason the double-eyelid line extends longer than my eye is that, because of scarring from previous surgeries, they said the line needed to extend longer than the existing line for the crease to look clean. This is something several other specialized hospitals also told me! Please keep that in mind when looking.*
*During the recovery period, some scar tissue started to rise at the outer end of my left eye, so when I went for my 1-month follow-up, they lightly cauterized only the end with a laser. Since it has not been long since the laser treatment, there is still a small wound at the outer corner of my left eye. Please keep this in mind too 🥹
