After my nose surgery at Hospital A went wrong, I had four open early corrective surgeries over two months, and my nose was left completely messed up. Now, two years later, a few days have finally passed since I had reconstruction of my damaged nose at Hospital B. For those two years, I lost my job and couldn’t do anything. Of course I withdrew from everything, my self-esteem dropped, and I wondered how I could keep living like this. But as time passed, I somehow ended up just living with it haha
Once my nose had stabilized a bit, Hospital B quoted me 17 million won, and there was nowhere else I felt I could have revision surgery, so I had the surgery there. I don’t know if it went well; I just want to look like a person. (When you spend two full years going to consultations, you can just see brokers and blacklisted plastic surgery clinics… There are seriously so few hospitals worth going to)
✔️Hospital A admitted medical malpractice. “It’s unfortunate” and that kind of nonsense (My nose had a hole in it, turned black like necrosis, the columella was overcorrected as if someone had deliberately played a prank, and they made my nostrils look like a pig nose, yet the surgery still took 8 hours.) I think the doctor already knew during surgery that he had ruined it. The doctor himself probably thought there was no answer and that I wouldn’t accept an aftercare correction, so he said he would file it with insurance, and it was passed to the insurance company. The insurance representative told me I would receive treatment and to get as much treatment as I wanted, so I did. But in the end, they only acknowledged 60% fault, so I am only receiving 60%. If that was going to happen, they shouldn’t have told me to get all the treatment;; lol Meanwhile, they’re saying even if a person dies, it comes out to 60%. If I spent 10 million won on treatment, 4 million won came out of my own pocket. Because only 6 million won is compensated. They didn’t even explain this properly.
Anyway, in conclusion, including the 17 million won surgery fee + two years of treatment costs + consolation money, etc., do you know how much the medical compensation came out to? My annual salary was 60 million won, and because of my nose I couldn’t work for more than two years, but they gave me only “10 million won.” The consolation money was 3 million won, and they said this was the maximum applied..^^ What’s even funnier is that the reason I could receive 10 million won was because the surgery fee was expensive. Other people usually receive around 6 million won even if they do receive compensation. Even the 10 million won lol was notified to me verbally, and if I didn’t like it, they told me to refuse it and file a civil lawsuit. It’s not even half of the original surgery fee and revision surgery fee… But I’m ending this exhausting dispute here.
What I want to say is that even if they say they’ll provide medical compensation, please don’t expect too much. They say it takes 3 months, but it takes about half a year to a year, and you absolutely do not get compensated as much as you expect.
**Hospital A plastic surgery clinic even manipulates reviews in this community!!! When I posted a factual review before, after that all kinds of overly praising posts started going up in bulk? lol Amazing Please avoid places with lots of advertising.. I went after seeing an ad too, and this is what happened to me. I can’t tell you the hospital. Even here, that hospital is now a broker paradise. What I can tell you is that it’s a four-character hospital in Seoul, that’s about it..
**Everyone, with nose surgery please don’t be too greedy, and before you cross a point of no return like I did, please think about it one more time If you can live with it, just leave it alone...!! I’m someone who went in to get my eyes done, trusted the director when he said my nose was a little lacking and that he’d give me a discount, did it, and ended up with a hole in my nose too
