Nose Surgery Reviews

First rhinoplasty review for a bulbous nose!!

Hi! I had rhinoplasty this time using autologous costal cartilage, and it has now been exactly 1 week. My original nose was a hump nose + bulbous nose + slightly crooked nose, so I was really stressed every time I took photos, and because my skin was thick, there was no definition at all. After only worrying about it for years, I finally made up my mind and went through with it. I absolutely did not want a pointy, artificially high nose that obviously looked like I had plastic surgery. What mattered most to me was correcting the bulbous nose clearly, while keeping the line a soft straight-with-slight-curve profile, the nasal tip rounded yet defined and elevated, and making sure the overall result harmonized well with my face. [Consultation] I visited a lot of clinics and had consultations at more than 5 places, and among them, I liked that the director at one plastic surgery clinic carefully examined my nose by touch and clearly pointed out only what was necessary without overtreatment. I also liked that they only do 1-2 surgeries a day. For the material, he said my septal cartilage was weak, so I decided on the safest option, autologous costal cartilage. The consultant was also very kind, and the consultation lasted over 1 hour and 40 minutes while they showed me case photos. The feeling was exactly the natural and sophisticated look I wanted, so I trusted them right away. [Surgery] Because it used autologous costal cartilage, the surgery took about 5 and a half hours in total. On the first day, there was a little swelling, but just like I had seen in many reviews, there was really no bruising!! And I had no pain in the nose itself. Rather, the area where the costal cartilage was harvested felt achy and slightly tight when I got up or coughed? Right now it is still only week 1, so there is swelling overall, but the bridge looks naturally defined and I can clearly see that the bulbous nose has been corrected, so I am very satisfied! It still needs time to settle, but my facial impression already feels much more refined, so I feel good every time I look in the mirror. I was really worried whether I could get definition because I had a bulbous nose + thick skin, but if it already looks like this, I am so excited for one month later. If you are like me and dislike an artificial look, and prefer a natural change with a rounded, defined, elevated tip, I really recommend it!

This review is for surgery that pursues natural beauty.
